Someone messaged me barely a week ago to do a job, a fintech project that connects tenants and landlords.

The client idea was solid and he sounded very convincing. So he said we should build him what he wants and he even sent a well written order to be taken.

He said we should use our sub domain and get an hosting and that he was ready to pay. We negotiated and we agreed on 300,000 Naira.

My team and i did as agreed. And then even before the agreed date, i messaged him and sent him all the admin access.He went through the entire structure and then he said he has a proposal for us.

The proposal is that he will pay us 2 million naira within six months interval and that we should use our own money to complete the project and then we will talk about making money later.

It broke my heart, to be honest.

It wasn't about the 300K, but that someone could use me like that and take my work and time for granted.

I declined his offer and deleted the job completely.

It was obvious he had no money to pay and was catching cruise. Catching cruise with someone else's job.
